Capitol radio group

PHILOSOPHY

We have three points of service in our community:

Service Point #1 – To Inform & Entertain our audiences! With 7 Radio stations, CRG serves more extensive and different audiences than any other media group in Springfield!

Service Point #2 – To help our advertisers sell more goods and services! We estimate that 40% of all the Radio listening in the Springfield area happens on our stations. We’re also the only media group that does specific “Intent to Purchase” research on each of our 7 different audiences to help advertisers improve the effectiveness of their marketing investments.

Service Point #3 – We are committed to super-serving the Springfield community. Our stations have a strong focus on local events, issues, entertainment, civic functions, as well as charitable causes. We take pride in being an important part of the fabric of our community. We also love taking part in community events and getting behind local causes that affect our listeners.

Some of the events we support include Zoolie Ghoulie for Henson-Robinson Zoo, Little Miracles 5K Run/Walk for HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, The International Route 66 Mother Road Festival and the City Night’s Classic Car Cruise for Crimestoppers, Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive, Denim & Diamonds benefiting Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU Medicine, Dan Adair Memorial Triathlon for Memorial Medical Center/Springfield Clinic, MDA Fill The Boot Campaign, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital Radiothon, WYMG’S Christmas Wish, Festival of Trees for Memorial Medical Center Foundation, Movies in the Park for Springfield Park District, Fight For Air Climb for the American Lung Association, Holiday Lights @ the Zoo for Henson-Robinson Zoo, Kids Fest for HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital plus 20 other selected non-profit events for the Heartland Credit Union Friends & Neighbors program, Ansar Shrine Circus for Shrine Hospitals, Radio Reader’s Program with HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Kohl’s Cares, The Great Pumpkin Grab, the Rees Memorial Carillon and many more.

Each year our group donates over $600,000 in Public Service advertising to 39+ different non-profit groups and agencies – to help raise over $500,000 in donations.
